What is the 3D Sea?
The project Il Mare in 3D, funded by COSTA CROCIERE FOUNDATION, aims to create innovative solutions for the recovery and recycling of discarded fishing gear and plastic material from coastal and seabed cleaning activities.
This material, once processed, will be transformed into a filament to be used with 3D printers to create objects that will be used in various activities including the creation of educational kits for schools and visually impaired people, objects used to explore the seabed for naturalistic snorkeling and objects used during seabed cleaning initiatives.
The project unites many passions: love for the environment, love for an ethical use of the most advanced technologies, passion for teaching and scientific dissemination.
